There have been print shops in Bath since 1871 and for many years more than three.
After 60 years at 44 Front Street, we moved Bath Printing Company to The Old Bath Custom House, across the road. The Old Bath Custom House is a historic commercial building at 1 Front Street in downtown Bath, Maine. Built by the federal government from 1852-1858, it is a fine example of Italianate architecture designed by Ammi B. Young, housing the local post office and customs facilities until 1970. The primary purpose of the Customs House in 1858 was to house the Collector of Customs for the Port of Bath and the United States Post Office.
The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. It now houses a number of businesses and we are so pleased to join them.
